An elegant dining room overlooks the expansive harbour, with crisp linen tablecloths, fine china settings that change daily, fresh flowers, and soft soothing music. The food focus is on fresh local ingredients. This is the way to start your day!
The aromas of fresh coffee and hot freshly baked croissants fill the air, and the scene is set. We start with fresh juices, fresh seasonal fruits - which includes locally grown organic berries, our renowned homemade Muesli, and homemade Greek style yoghurt. Next, we offer an individually prepared choice from our cooked menu, freshly ground coffee, and a selection of teas. Meanwhile on the harbour, the day unfolds and you are enveloped in the peace, tranquility and beauty of it all.
To deliver the very best to our guests, we concentrate on fresh, local ingredients, sourced from suppliers who we know are committed to quality and freshness. We use specially dry cured old-fashioned smoked bacon, local, freshly laid, free range organic eggs, locally smoked salmon from Akaroa harbour and herbs and vegetables grown in our kitchen garden. Our local berry farm supplies us daily (in season) with just picked raspberries, strawberries, blackberries, and boysenberries. We have a broad selection of herbal, and black teas, and premium freshly ground coffee. We make our own Muesli, and Yoghurt and serve it with fresh seasonal fruits and a menu of cooked dishes for you to choose from.

Akaroa Eggs: Creamy scrambled eggs, with locally smoked Akaroa salmon, and fresh garden herbs, served on sourdough toast.

Eggs en Cocotte: Free range Eggs baked in the oven on a bed of spinach, with Parmesan, Bacon, a tiny splash of cream, and fresh herbs.

Eggs Benedict: The classic gourmet breakfast treat: poached eggs served with smoked bacon or ham, and Hollandaise sauce on a toasted English muffin. Also served with smoked salmon as an option.

Bagel, Lox, & Cream Cheese: Toasted Bagel, Akaroa Smoked Salmon, cream cheese.

Vegetarian Delight: Toast served with freshly sliced tomatoes, and avocado, OR Toast with homemade preserves.
We use only the freshest and finest ingredients. Local, freshly laid, free range eggs, artisan dry smoked bacon. Akaroa Smoked Salmon and herbs from the kitchen garden.
