All the restaurants are within an easy 2 to 5 minute walk of Maison de la Mer - so you can leave the car parked. During the season, reservations are essential and we are pleased to make reservations on your behalf:The Trading Rooms Open for Lunch and Dinner, The Trading Rooms is one of Akaroa's finest restaurants, concentrating on fresh locally sourced foods, from which, chef Stephen Gilchrist conjures up a wonderful fresh seasonal menu. Informal at lunch and more fine dining in the evening, this is a must visit place to eat in Akaroa. At lunch, try the magnificent Beef pies! Dinner is sublime. Stephen's partner, Kathryn, is the smiling hostess. Open 7 days in season. ![]() The Little Bistro Owned and operated by chef Paul and his partner Emma, who is front of house, this is one of our favourite places to eat. The menu is absolutely yummy, with local produce, great service, and a focus on local wines in an intimate environment.
